Jess Stoukides

Jess is a co-owner & the head of our lesson and training program. Since she was a junior, she has been training with Ashleigh Stewart of Redwood Farm competing throughout the east coast at shows such as Vermont Summer Festival, HITS Saugerties, Fieldstone Show Park, and the Buffalo International Horse Show.

Jess holds a masters degree in kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island and a bachelors degree from Skidmore College in health and exercise science. At Skidmore, Jess was captain of the hunt seat team for 3 of her 4 years on the team. As a freshman, she was selected to represent the team at IHSA nationals, contributing to the team’s 2013 National Championship victory. Jess went on to compete at IHSA nationals for the team and individually all 4 years. She also holds multiple regional, zone, and national individual titles from her time at Skidmore. In 2013 at the Capital District Hunter Jumper Council's Equitation finals, she won the Con Culkin Adult Medal riding Skidmore College's Cherokee.

Jess is a passionate rider and is dedicated to developing riders who are proficient in all aspects of horse care, riding, and showing. She will give you the skills you need to reach your riding goals!

Sam Bonsignore

Sam Bonsignore is a co-owner and the manager of Ocean Crest Farm. She holds a bachelors degree in Equine Business Management with a minor in Riding Instruction from Johnson & Wales University. She has received her small and large bronze medal from the German Riding Federation.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude, Sam relocated to Germany where she worked as an equine manager for the Grand Prix Dressage training facility, Hof Bornsen. In Germany, Sam assisted in their 50 horse training program. She rode multiple horses a day under instruction, served as a home horse manager, along with grooming for their Grand Prix riders at national and international shows.

Returning to the U.S. in 2016, Sam worked as a trainer and an assistant manager of Carnegie Abbey Equestrian Center in Portsmouth, RI.  Sam is a current board member of the Rhode Island Horsemen's Association. 

At Ocean Crest Farm, Sam is dedicated to the care and happiness of each of our horses and clients. Her knowledge and expertise, combined with her love and  passion for these animals makes her an invaluable member of our team!

Bri FitzGerald

Bri is our farm hand extraordinaire! Bri graduated with honors from Becker College as a member of the class of 2021 with a bachelors degree in veterinary science concentrating in veterinary technology.

She has worked at various barns for the last 5 years and started at OCF in 2020. She has been around horses (and about every other hooved, furred or feathered living creature) since the age of 6.

Bri also worked as a certified small animal veterinary technician on the East Side of Providence.

In her spare time she can be found on her family farm, adventuring the OCF grounds on one of the faithful ponies, or training with her pawtner in crime, Lucy! 

Pirate

Pirate is a 6 year old Spinone Italiano! 

She enjoys pointing birds, running around with her friend Lucy, and a good scratch on the butt! Pirate is loved and owned by Jess.

Sky

Sky is a 10 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Sky enjoys lively conversations with her human friends, sniffing out grain nibbles in the barn, and long naps in the office! Sky is loved and owned by Sam.

Lucy

Lucy is a 5 year old Border Collie mix. Lucy enjoys chasing her balls, playing "yumpies" with the children in the ring, and staying as busy as possible! In her downtime, she can be found napping in the sun, charging up for more activity!
